STEP 2: Store and process images
Raw images are collected at sea in .tiff format. See table below for summary of image collection.
We currently have over 3 million images!
After collection the raw .tiff images are processed and color corrected, ending up as .jpg images of manageable size.
Next the the organisms in the images are identified through automatic and manual classification .
